About this policy

Forcello provides Forcello, a focus timer and app-blocking tool. This policy explains the information handled by the app, our website and our support email. You can use the focus features without creating an account or enabling optional analytics or crash reporting.

Focus and protection data

Your projects, focus history, credit balance, settings, selected apps, app icons and temporary unlock deadlines are stored on your device. The app does not upload this information as a personal profile or sync it to a developer-operated account.

On Android, the app reads the list of launchable apps so you can choose apps to protect. With Usage Access, it reads app-activity events to identify the foreground app, including while Forcello is in the background. Display-over-other-apps access lets it show the blocker. Selected-app identifiers and app-activity events are processed on your device and are not sent to Google Analytics, Crashlytics custom logs, or RevenueCat.

You can remove apps from protection or revoke Usage Access and display-over-other-apps access in Android Settings. Blocking needs these permissions to work.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics is off by default. If you turn it on during onboarding or in Settings, Google Analytics for Firebase receives events about app visits, onboarding progress, first and completed focus sessions, stopped timers, protection-permission setup, projects and the Premium screen. These include session duration, credit rewards, the number of protected apps and whether setup, unlock or purchase attempts succeeded. We use these events to measure activation, return visits, focus activity, protection adoption and purchase conversion.

Google Analytics also processes app-instance identifiers, app and device information, and approximate location derived from network information. The app does not request precise location. We do not attach blocked-app package names, project names, project IDs or focus-session IDs to these events. Advertising identifier collection, ad personalization and automatic screen reporting are disabled.

These reports help us understand which features are useful. You can turn analytics off at any time. The app stops sending new usage events and resets its local analytics data; this does not automatically delete data already received by Google.

Optional crash reports

Crash reporting is off by default and is a separate choice from usage analytics. If enabled, Firebase Crashlytics receives crash stack traces, app state, device and app versions, installation identifiers and related diagnostic information to help us find and fix crashes. If analytics is also enabled, permitted analytics events may appear as crash breadcrumbs.

The app does not attach your projects, focus history or selected-app list as custom crash-report data. Automatic JavaScript error forwarding is disabled. Turning crash reporting off stops future uploads and requests deletion of unsent reports on the device. It does not delete reports already uploaded.

Purchases and subscriptions

Google Play or the Apple App Store processes payments. RevenueCat processes purchase records, product identifiers, subscription and trial status, an app-generated customer identifier, and device/app metadata to validate access, restore purchases and provide subscription reporting. This is separate from the optional usage-analytics setting. The app does not receive your full payment-card details.

RevenueCat may contact its services when the app starts to check Premium access, even if you have not purchased. We do not send it your selected-app list, projects or focus history, and we do not supply advertising identifiers or contact attributes.

Notifications and permissions

Timer alerts and reminders are scheduled locally. The app does not register for remote push notifications. Android notifications can show timer state and a project name, depending on your notification and lock-screen settings. Notification permission and exact alarms support timely timer alerts; the background service maintains the timer and app protection.

Website and support email

Our public website uses Cloudflare hosting. Cloudflare processes connection information, including IP addresses and information about requests, to deliver and protect the website. We do not embed advertising or analytics scripts in the site.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards incoming mail to our Google Gmail mailbox. We use this information to answer questions and handle support or privacy requests. Messages remain in the mailbox unless deleted; you can contact us to request deletion, subject to any records we need to retain for legal obligations or unresolved requests. Avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Service providers and security

Google/Firebase and RevenueCat process the data described above to provide their services. Payments are handled by your app store. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Provider requests use encrypted connections. Providers may process information in countries other than yours under their applicable data-protection terms.

Your device protects locally stored app data. Device backups or transfers managed by your operating system may retain a separate copy. Review your device’s backup and security settings when deleting or transferring data.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Local data remains until you remove it or clear the app’s storage. On Android, Settings → Apps → Forcello → Storage → Clear storage removes the app’s local projects, focus history, settings and protection data. Uninstalling also removes its local app storage; separately managed backups may remain.

Google Analytics retains event and user data according to the developer’s configured retention period. Firebase Crashlytics normally retains crash data and associated identifiers for 90 days before starting removal. RevenueCat purchase records remain until deleted through its customer-management process, subject to records needed for subscription operation or legal obligations.

To request access, correction or deletion of provider-held data, contact the developer. We may need information to locate your purchase or app installation. Switching reporting off or uninstalling does not automatically delete provider-held data or cancel a subscription. Manage cancellations through your app store.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing or complain to a data-protection authority. You can withdraw optional reporting consent in Settings without losing the core focus features.

Contact and changes

For questions about these terms, privacy, or data deletion, contact Forcello at support@forcello.app.

We will update this policy when data practices change and show the revised date. Material changes requiring new consent will be presented before the new optional collection begins.
